Welcome

Welcome to the website of Taynton Metal Detecting Club. Our club is based at the village of Taynton in Gloucestershire, England. The overriding interest of club members is recovering, recording and displaying our past. This website is one way we publicise our work, but we also have many finds on permanent display in the locality.

We have a good rapport with our local museum and are members of several history and archaeological societies. We regularly submit our finds to Kurt Adams, our local Finds Liaison Officer, and they are also recorded with the Gloucestershire County Council Sites and Monuments Record Office (SMR). We fully support and abide by the Treasure Act of 1996.
